Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, as a Mechanical Supervisor you will be accountable for:

Determining manufacturing priorities based on the daily morning meeting, and effectively communicating those to your team
Interpreting developing situations, making sound judgment decisions when dealing with deviations from scheduled tasks. Including escalation criteria
Working towards achieving the best from your team through customised training plans and the consistent application of an outward mindset
Liaising closely with support functions such as Maintenance, Safety and Training, while maintaining a positive, rewarding and productive working relationships

Across our Australian operations, we extract and process rich mineral sands into a range of valuable products including ilmenite, zircon, rutile and titanium dioxide pigment which are then exported to international markets. About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, as a Mechanical Supervisor you will be accountable for:
Addressing the site prioritised scheduled tasks to deliver safe, quality, low-cost, sustainable tones
Determining manufacturing priorities based on the daily morning meeting, and effectively communicating those to your team
Interpreting developing situations, making sound judgment decisions when dealing with deviations from scheduled tasks. Including escalation criteria

Liaising closely with support functions such as Maintenance, Safety and Training, while maintaining a positive, rewarding and productive working relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering real time performance results by proactively leading and coordinating the D1 crew at all times
- Liaising with fellow supervisors to ensure alignment of best practices across teams
- Making decisions on scheduled work when the maintenance lead is unavailable
- Maintaining regulatory & statutory compliance
- Effective co-ordination and management of the D1 crew
- Ensuring maintenance orders are time confirmed with comments
- Driving the safe, effective, and timely turnaround of production equipment.
- Enforcing all Tronox policies and procedures
- About you:
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Have a good understanding of industry Safe Work Systems and practices
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire a team to achieve their best under variable conditions.
- Experience with SAP advantageous for role
- Display good written and oral communication skills, with an ability to communicate constructively across all levels of the organisation.
