Responsibilities
- Provide weekly safety training, required inspections, and daily observations to ensure safe work practices
- Set priorities for Plant Maintenance Operations and ensure maintenance and repair work is scheduled and completed
- Control R&M cost within budget using maintenance system reporting to identify/eliminate equipment failures
- Direct supervision of maintenance project and personnel
- Develop and improve capabilities of assigned maintenance personnel
Requirements
- B.S Degree in Engineering, Mining Engineering or Industrial Technology and/or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mine maintenance or maintenance in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience in a mining/manufacturing operation
- Intermediate proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting machine systems
- Knowledge of mechanics, electrical systems, machine design, and automation systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, and sketches
- Intermediate knowledge of business finance and budgeting

Job Summary
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Safety Management; set priorities for Plant Maintenance Operations; control R&M cost within budget.
Essential Duties
- Safety Management; provide weekly training, required inspections of equipment, work sites, provide daily observations and feedback communications to maintenance personnel.
- Set priorities for Plant Maintenance Operations. Ensure that maintenance and repair work is scheduled and completed to ensure maximum uptime availability of plant equipment.
- Control R & M cost within budget. Utilize maintenance system reporting to identify/eliminate equipment failures before they occur.
Education/Experience
- B.S Degree in Engineering, Mining Engineering or Industrial Technology and/or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in mine maintenance or maintenance in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience in a mining/manufacturing operation
