Role Overview
Maintenance Manager responsible for hotel building and systems maintenance, repairs, team leadership, and engineering performance.
The role supports guest experiences by maintaining safe, reliable, and well-functioning hotel facilities.
Maintenance and Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members.
- Provide professional development opportunities and recognize team achievements.
- Oversee daily maintenance activities and verify completion through the property maintenance management system.
- Resolve service requests, guest concerns, and emergencies in a timely manner.
Safety and Property Systems
- Oversee physical building, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.
- Coordinate inspections and uphold national and local safety and compliance standards.
- Support evacuation procedures, duty manager coverage, and other hotel safety protocols.
Projects and Performance
- Assist with capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting, contractor bidding, licensing, and permitting.
- Develop property-wide energy conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
- Monitor equipment upkeep, audit results, team productivity, and other departmental KPIs.
