About the roleAs the precast division of Holcim Australia, Humes is where engineering precision meets large-scale manufacturing. By joining our team, you will become part of a national network of factories focussed on delivering engineered solutions that are efficient in design, manufacturing processes and stand the test of time.Based out of Swanbank, QLD, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance of plant, equipment, and associated assets across the pre-cast concrete plant operations within the region. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role has primary accountability for preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and contractor management to minimise downtime and support continuous operational performance.The role works closely with operations and external service providers to ensure maintenance activities are planned, prioritised, and executed in line with safety, operational, and commercial requirements. About youDemonstrated experience in maintenance and breakdown support within an industrial or operational environmentExperience maintaining fixed plant, mobile plant, or heavy industrial equipmentExperience engaging and managing external contractors and service providersStrong understanding of preventative maintenance and asset reliability principlesAbility to diagnose faults and implement effective technical solutionsSound computer literacy and ability to use maintenance and reporting systemsClear and effective communication with operational, technical, and external stakeholdersLeadership skills and experienceExperience using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) or similar is highly desirable.
