Job Scope
Provide engineering governance, troubleshooting, and technical support for the Maintenance Engineering Support Section.
Improve equipment reliability, asset integrity, and maintenance effectiveness.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with HSSE, regulatory, and technical requirements across maintenance engineering activities.
- Lead maintenance cost optimization, risk-based maintenance, failure analysis, and asset performance improvement programs.
- Coordinate engineering activities for routine maintenance, critical equipment, turnarounds, shutdowns, and asset integrity initiatives.
- Govern engineering standards, maintenance strategies, and maintenance procedures.
- Direct troubleshooting and approve maintenance engineering recommendations.
- Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance for mechanical and instrumentation assets.
- Monitor reliability, maintenance effectiveness, recurring failures, technical risks, and corrective actions.
- Develop maintenance engineering personnel through leadership, coaching, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Set departmental priorities, allocate resources, and deliver objectives aligned with business goals.
- Optimize spare parts and critical material availability while balancing reliability, risk, and cost.
- Use CMMS to control maintenance activities, reduce reliability risks, and sustain asset integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant refinery or petrochemical experience.
Job Specific Skills
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in SAP, CMMS, and applicable reporting tools.
- Risk-based maintenance and spare parts optimization.
- Knowledge of HSSE, PTW/LOTO, quality, and documentation requirements.
Preferred Certificates
- CMRP certification is preferred.
