About the Role
Aloft Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform guest room repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep of hotel facilities. The role requires basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, along with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/machine room equipment
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually
- Transport equipment such as tools and radios
- Identify and operate all shut off valves and disconnect switches
- Maintain inventory and order parts and supplies as needed
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Perform surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and woodwork repairs
- Replace light bulbs and air conditioner filters
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program televisions and perform general engineering maintenance and inventory
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior gardens and irrigation systems
Requirements
- General maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience valued

- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuums, internet devices, switches, outlets, and other guest room items
- Program televisions and perform general engineering maintenance and inventory
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical training preferred
- Related work experience: General maintenance experience, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience valued
- Supervisory experience: Not required
- License or certification: Valid driver's license
Desired Skills
- Basic knowledge in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 lbs or less without assistance
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and reach overhead and below knees
- Computer operation skills
