Atlanta, GA, plant is seeking a candidate to fill a Facilities Maintenance Apprentice position. This is an hourly position Monday through Friday and some Saturdays with the possibility of overtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, good communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment is recommended, plus a strong desire to succeed and advance in the company. This is entry-level hybrid/developmental position that provides hands-on training in facility operations, preventive maintenance, building systems, safety practices, and maintenance coordination and administration.
Career Progression: Facilities Maintenance Apprentice → Maintenance Coordinator or Maintenance Technician I-III → Maintenance Supervisor → Maintenance Manager
Must maintain excellent attendance reliability
Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned.
Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement, do basic math, and some computer skills).
General mechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills.

Report issues before they become major problems
Maintain a catalog of maintenance issues and problem resolutions
Maintain tool crib/tool room inventory
Track tool issuance and returns
Monitor spare parts inventory levels
Order maintenance supplies and replacement parts
Manage vendor relationships, purchase order requests, and deliveries
Ensure that critical spare parts are available!!
Generate maintenance reports and KPIs
Track labor hours and work order status
Support safety and compliance documentation
HS diploma or GED required, and skilled training is a plus
8 or 10-hour shifts
Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite mandatory
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time
Good communication skills, including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff Industrial manufacturing experience, are preferred
Must be flexible on shift
