Job Purpose

Run the machine at optimal speeds to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Comply with safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions.
  • Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks.
  • Keep operational areas clean and organized to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
  • Report unsafe acts, incidents, and safety violations.

Production Workflow

  • Ensure resins are correctly mixed and the correct raw materials are available before production.
  • Verify labels and markings against standards and client specifications.
  • Follow operational procedures and report production problems, mistakes, accidents, and non-conformities.
  • Perform pre-curing and proper de-molding to minimize defects.
  • Maintain mold and mandrel records and stencil each item for identification.
  • Inspect de-molded products before online quality-control inspection.

Mandrel and Hydro Testing

  • Cool mandrels to the minimum required temperature and keep them ready for production.
  • Monitor machine operation within defined limitations during pipe testing.
  • Set up and dismantle pipe testing heads, fittings, and blind flanges.
  • Test pipes according to schedule and log daily tests.
  • Select correct rubber rings, O-rings, and flanges according to drilling standards.
  • Apply valid calibration dates to gauges for quality-control testing.

Calibration and Reporting

  • Calibrate, build up, grind, and cut pipes to required dimensions and quality standards.
  • Prevent waste and rejections during calibration.
  • Track, log, and report daily output and post-curing status.

Communication

  • Internal communication is with the Production and QC departments.
  • There are no external communication responsibilities stated.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical or high school qualification.
  • One to two years of experience as an operator in a similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Knowledge of pipe machines, products, raw materials, hazards, material safety data, and resin mixing or dosage.
  • Knowledge of product specifications, quality standards, visual defects, and measuring tools.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to read and understand raw material recipes.
  • Computer literacy.
