Machine Operator

The primary duties of a Machine operator are to operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform quality checks and produce accurate parts.

Operate the machines using correct materials to produce various shapes and sizes to ensure tolerances specified on the prints or drawings are correct.

On the first article and throughout the process, checking the parts you are producing for accuracy.

• Reading blueprints and drawings.
• Setting up the machine.
• Measuring parts for accuracy and consistency.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Retrieve material, load material on machines, setup machine to each job’s specifications.
• This includes pulling plates off machines from ten (10) pounds to two hundred (200) pounds, depending on material.
• Cleaning and de-slagging parts.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• General yard clean up.
• All other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum Education Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum Experience Preferred: 2 years machine operating experience, metal or related industry, preferred.
