About the Team
The Risk Detection team aims to minimize friction for merchants while protecting users in the financial ecosystem.
The team improves risk workflows, merchant notifications, issue resolution, and the overall risk-management experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a strong engineering team focused on risk detection and merchant experience.
- Support high technical quality and impact across APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems.
- Recruit, hire, scale, and develop engineers.
- Execute cross-functionally with leadership, product, infrastructure, and risk strategy teams.
- Participate in strategic direction and platform decisions affecting Stripe and its customers.
- Help make risk management a product differentiator that attracts and retains merchants.
Minimum Requirements
- At least three years of engineering management experience.
- Prior experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or equivalent.
