The Financials Hyper Automation AI team builds intelligent experiences for enterprise financial and accounting systems.

The Machine Learning Engineer develops production-grade ML solutions, from model training through APIs, deployment, evaluation, and lifecycle management.

The team works on reasoning agents for complex financial workflows and agentic self-improvement.

Responsibilities

Own the exploration, design, implementation, and deployment of ML features.
Evaluate feature quality, scalability, and observability.
Apply LLMs and natural language understanding to business documents and customer workflow automation.
Develop ML models and APIs across Workday's ML infrastructure and manage product and service lifecycles.
Track advances in AI, LLMs, RAG, autonomous agents, and orchestration frameworks.
Serve as a technical role model for more junior engineers.

Basic qualifications

5+ years building applied machine learning products at scale through research, design, implementation, production, and evaluation.
5+ years of professional Python experience with numeric libraries and production code and model delivery.
