LVN Staff Development Coordinator

Qualifications:

• Current California RN or LVN license
• Valid CPR certification
• One year of direct patient care in a long-term care setting plus one year of experience planning educational programs OR
• Two years of licensed nurse experience with at least one year in direct patient care in a long-term care setting.
• Within six months of employment and prior to teaching, must also complete 24 hours of continuing education in educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation from an accredited or approved source
• One (1) year of instructor experience preferred
• Preferred knowledge in:
• Quality improvement methods
• Adult learning principles and training techniques
• Patient safety and risk management
• Regulatory survey processes
• Infection control
• Employee health
• Other Skills/Abilities:
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and all levels of the organization
• Proficiency with computers and basic software applications
• Pay Range: $43.00 - $49.00, DOE
