Lunch Program Coordinator Hours: 1.5 hours per day (lunch hour) – Monday through Friday Start date: As soon as possible Salary: $22 per hour The Program Coordinator duties: Daily - Deal with day to day issues of staff, parents and students as they arise to maintain a safe environment. Refer serious or reoccurring situations to the school administration. - Act as a liaison between the administration, parent community, teachers, supervisors and students. - Manage supervisors’ schedules. Monthly - Meet with and train supervisors as the need arises. - In conjunction with the school administration, interview applicants for supervisor positions. - Provide information about services of the school lunch program to parents. Qualifications: - Obtain a valid Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Records check. - Commit to Kids Certification. - Interact professionally, always respecting confidentiality. - Possess excellent organizational skills. - Possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with children. - Capable of working independently and as a team member. - Possess a minimum of Grade 12 education (or equivalent experience) is required as well as the ability to communicate clearly in English through speaking and writing. - Willingness to work in all outdoor conditions and possess the physical ability to perform the duties required. - A knowledge of Excel, current CPR and First Aid training would be an asset.
