Georgetown Infiniti is looking for entry level and Certified Automotive Technicians to join our team of experienced professionals.

Job Summary

An Automotive Service Technician repairs and inspects Infiniti vehicles.

The main duties include using diagnostic tools to identify and diagnose potential issues with a customer’s vehicle, explain problems with the vehicle to the customer and perform maintenance and repairs on the vehicles to fix or prevent them from future breakdowns or issues.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform Oil Changes: Drain and refill motor oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid to specified levels
  • Lubricate Vehicle Components: Apply lubricants to chassis fittings and wheel bearings to prevent friction and wear.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Conduct a multi-point inspection to identify and document any fluid leaks or other service needs, including checking tire pressure and adding air as needed.
  • Replace Filters:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with service advisors and clients keeping them informed about the vehicles condition.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the service area and tools organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintain Safe Working Environment: Follow all safety procedures, drive slowly and defensively, work cautiously, ensure proper PPE is used at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Understanding of automotive systems.
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to provide friendly customer service.

Education And Experience

  • Lube Technician or auto mechanic training preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines, particularly those concerning emissions and safety, is advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
