LPG Gas Technicians

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain bulk tanks, cylinder manifolds, vaporizers, regulators, piping networks, valves, and gas meters.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, purging, and commissioning of new LPG pipeline systems.
• Inspect systems for compliance with UAE Civil Defence requirements and company standards.
• Respond to emergency gas leak complaints and breakdown calls.
• Maintain service reports, inspection checklists, and equipment calibration records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, and customers during maintenance and commissioning.
• Follow HSE procedures and use required PPE.
• Educate customers on safe operation and emergency procedures when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI, diploma, or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, gas technology, pipe fitting, or a related trade.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in LPG central gas system installation and maintenance.
• Experience with LPG systems in residential, labor-camp, hotel, restaurant, commercial, hospital, or industrial facilities.
• Emergency maintenance and gas leak rectification experience is preferred.
• LPG or gas system certification is an added advantage.
• A valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of centralized LPG gas systems and distribution networks.
• Ability to read P&ID, piping-layout, and isometric drawings.
• Proficiency in pressure testing, leak detection, and system commissioning.
• Knowledge of regulators, manifolds, vaporizers, valves, gas meters, and safety devices.
• Familiarity with UAE Civil Defence regulations and NFPA 54 and NFPA 58 standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, reporting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
