Role overview

3M is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage import, customs clearance, inbound transportation, and logistics performance in Saudi Arabia.

The role supports compliant and cost-effective logistics execution in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage import activities in line with Saudi regulations and internal processes.
  • Coordinate inbound transportation from ports or airports to warehouses or customer locations.
  • Monitor shipment schedules, transit milestones, handoffs, and on-time performance.
  • Coordinate with transport providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs, and certification bodies.
  • Prepare and submit invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, BOE, permits, Saber certificates, and related records.
  • Manage customs clearance to minimize delays, penalties, rejections, holds, and demurrage costs.
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, risks, and transportation issues to stakeholders.
  • Resolve congestion, delivery delays, damaged cargo, documentation gaps, and warehouse readiness issues.
  • Track logistics performance using delivery, damage, turnaround-time, and cost metrics.
  • Review freight invoices, maintain reports, and support continuous improvement.

Minimum requirements

  • Experience in import, customs clearance, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Knowledge of Saudi customs regulations and import documentation.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • English and Arabic proficiency.
  • Driving license.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Saber certification.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance, ERP or logistics systems, and freight invoice review.

Job specifics

  • The role is based at the 3M office in the Cordoba district of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • The working model requires five days on site.
  • Travel may include up to 5% domestic or international travel.
  • Relocation is not authorized.
  • The working pattern is full-time.
