Role Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services operates the infrastructure supporting AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
The Logistics Specialist joins the Infrastructure Operations team and supports data center inventory, inbound shipments, demand, and parts availability.
The role supports build and repair activities while helping meet defined data center operations service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Review inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels across locations.
- Optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle by tracking location, movement, age, and turns.
- Fulfill parts requests from Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase parts.
- Process RMAs with vendors and receive replacement parts.
- Maintain ongoing vendor communication to resolve issues and align business requirements.
- Assist with delivery and pick-up scheduling and with loading and unloading shipments.
- Support operations that run continuously on a 24/7 basis.
