About the Role
Sycomp is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join its growing Middle East operations team in Dammam on a contract basis.
The role supports logistics activities across Saudi Arabia and works with regional stakeholders, customers, suppliers, freight partners, and government entities.
Core responsibilities include import/export management, customs compliance, freight coordination, warehouse support, and broader local operational activities.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate import, export, domestic transportation, courier, air freight, and ocean freight shipments within Saudi Arabia.
- Support customs clearance and compliance with local import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Prepare and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, AWBs, BOLs, customs declarations, permits, and supporting records.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, customers, and regional teams.
- Track shipments, communicate delays and customs holds, and resolve shipment discrepancies and delivery exceptions.
- Support receiving, inventory verification, labeling, packing, stock counts, shipment staging, and asset handling.
- Maintain logistics and inventory records, visit external stakeholders, and assist with local operational and governmental processes.
- Contribute to process improvements involving compliance, visibility, service quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, import/export, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination is required.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi customs procedures, shipping documentation, import/export regulations, and international transportation coordination is required.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and warehouse partners is required.
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 proficiency, fluent Arabic, and professional English communication skills are required.
- Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and capable of working independently.
- Experience in IT hardware, technology distribution, data centers, GCC logistics, or project-based logistics is preferred.
- Experience with free zones, bonded warehouses, Certificates of Origin, or new-market logistics setup is preferred.
