Role Overview

Support transportation planning, delivery scheduling, shipment coordination, logistics tracking, carrier management, route planning, and performance analysis.

Coordinate logistics activities from shipment planning and carrier coordination through dispatch, delivery confirmation, exception management, and reporting.

The role supports retail, e-commerce, warehouse, inventory, procurement, supply-chain, and customer-service operations.

Planning and Coordination

  • Develop and execute logistics and transportation plans aligned with operational, customer, inventory, and business requirements.
  • Coordinate shipment schedules, delivery plans, dispatch activities, transportation requirements, and logistics milestones.
  • Review orders, inventory availability, delivery locations, required dates, quantities, product characteristics, and transportation requirements.
  • Coordinate carriers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, couriers, warehouses, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Request and compare transportation quotations, freight rates, delivery options, transit times, and service conditions.
  • Prepare shipment schedules, delivery plans, route plans, dispatch trackers, transportation calendars, and exception logs.

Shipment Execution

  • Monitor shipment status from pickup and dispatch through transit, clearance where applicable, final delivery, and proof of delivery.
  • Track planned versus actual pickup and delivery times and identify delays, missed deliveries, capacity constraints, and exceptions.
  • Coordinate urgent, priority, expedited, and time-sensitive shipments and provide regular stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and logistics providers to ensure goods are ready for collection and properly documented.
  • Support inbound and outbound logistics planning for warehouses, stores, projects, customers, and other delivery locations.

Performance and Cost Management

  • Maintain accurate shipment, carrier, route, delivery, freight-cost, and logistics-performance records.
  • Track freight costs, transportation charges, accessorial fees, delivery costs, and other logistics expenses.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Procurement on freight invoices, rate verification, billing discrepancies, contracts, and payment documentation.
  • Monitor carrier and logistics-provider performance, including delivery times, service quality, claims, responsiveness, and cost performance.
  • Prepare logistics reports, shipment-status reports, delivery dashboards, freight-cost analyses, exception reports, and management summaries.

Improvement and Compliance

  • Analyze logistics data to identify delays, inefficient routes, capacity issues, high-cost lanes, delivery failures, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support seasonal, promotional, product-launch, special-project, and peak-period logistics planning.
  • Support contingency plans for transportation disruptions, capacity shortages, weather events, customs delays, and route restrictions.
  • Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, transportation cost, shipment accuracy, carrier performance, vehicle utilization, and exception resolution.
  • Ensure logistics planning complies with internal procedures, transportation requirements, safety standards, documentation requirements, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics planning, transportation planning, supply-chain coordination, freight operations, warehouse logistics, distribution, shipment coordination, or delivery management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, distribution, and shipment-planning principles.
  • Experience coordinating shipments, deliveries, carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and logistics providers.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including the ability to analyze shipment, delivery, cost, and performance data.
  • Experience tracking shipments and resolving transportation exceptions.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP, TMS, WMS, logistics-management, inventory-management, or supply-chain planning systems.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, manufacturing, construction, distribution, logistics, or other supply-chain-intensive industries.

Work Arrangement

  • The position is fully remote and supports collaboration across an internationally distributed team.
  • The role requires independent work, reliability, accountability, responsiveness, and professionalism.
