Role Overview
Sam West Distributors is hiring a Logistics Officer to support transportation, shipments, deliveries, documentation, inventory movements, and daily logistics operations.
The position is part-time and fully remote, with a focus on keeping goods moving efficiently and on schedule.
Work Arrangement
- The role is fully remote and based in connection with the Dubai, United Arab Emirates market.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate shipments, transportation, deliveries, and logistics activities.
- Monitor orders, shipment schedules, delivery status, and inventory movements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
- Support logistics planning and ensure timely movement of goods.
Records and Issue Resolution
- Prepare and maintain shipping, delivery, and logistics documentation.
- Track shipments and follow up on delays, discrepancies, and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and shipment tracking information.
- Assist with delivery, documentation, and transportation issues.
Performance Improvement
- Monitor logistics costs, service levels, and operational KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
- At least three years of professional experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or supply chain is required.
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates need strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Candidates must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Systems Experience
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, freight management systems, or advanced Excel is advantageous.
- UAE or GCC logistics experience is highly valued.
