Role Overview

Truck driver and logistics coordinator role focused on collecting biosolids from Southwest Victoria.

Deliveries are made to farms across Victoria, South Australia, and southern New South Wales.

The role is largely self-directed and supported by an experienced team.

Schedule and Availability

  • Work is flexible and on demand, with loads potentially available any day of the week.
  • Early starts commonly occur between 4:00 am and 6:00 am, though times can vary.
  • Weekend availability may be required and reasonable notice is typically provided.

Driving and Delivery Duties

  • Operate the company truck safely in compliance with road laws and heavy vehicle regulations.
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries, including confirming load availability and collection times.
  • Collect loads from designated sites and deliver them to customers or specified locations.
  • Meet required collection and delivery timeframes and follow employer instructions.
  • Communicate with customers about delivery timing and access arrangements.
  • Secure loads and transport them safely.
  • Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.

Vehicle and Operational Duties

  • Conduct basic pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report vehicle faults or maintenance issues.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the company truck.
  • The assigned equipment includes a 2020 Kenworth truck and trailer, a Kenworth T659 6 x 4 truck, and a four-axle GBB dog trailer.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong organisation, independence, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
  • Valid and appropriate heavy vehicle driver's licence.
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar role.
  • Compliance with road transport and heavy vehicle regulations.
  • Good driving record.
  • Effective communication with loading sites, customers, and the team.
  • Ability to manage delivery schedules and accommodate varying collection times.
  • Agricultural freight experience is preferred.

Compensation

  • Base rate of $90,000 plus bonuses and superannuation.
  • Pay is stated as $90,000 per year.
