What you’re responsible for
Authorizing railcar releases in accordance with company guidelines and monitoring approved quantities to prevent over-shipments.
Ensuring railcars contain the correct product and are routed to the appropriate destination.
Diverting railcars as required and creating new routing instructions for new destinations.
Tracking monthly purchase orders and maintaining operational records and files.
Monitoring railcar flows to minimize asset usage charges and ensure efficient cycle times.
Preparing and sending daily reports on the availability of empty railcars that can be ordered or returned within the assigned territory.
Responding to internal customer requests and providing timely operational support.
Collaborating closely with yard staff to support daily operations and meet shipping deadlines.
To join our team
You have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of logistics experience (rail logistics experience is an asset).
You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
You are proficient in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
You have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate, and monitor activities.
You have strong problem-solving skills.
You can work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
You are able to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
You have completed post-secondary education, preferably in Business Administration, Transportation, or Logistics, which is considered an asset.
