Job Overview

The Logistics Coordinator oversees end-to-end shipment coordination throughout North America.

The role includes mentoring team members, managing high-priority shipments, optimizing carrier selection, and communicating with clients, carriers, and international teams.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Mississauga with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shipment planning and execution across North America.
  • Monitor load tendering, dispatch, and delivery.
  • Verify commercial documents, including bond and invoice reconciliation.
  • Resolve shipment discrepancies with clients, shippers, and terminals.
  • Manage overage, shortage, and damage issues.
  • Communicate shipment status and delays to the operations team.
  • Source cost-effective carrier solutions while maintaining service quality.
  • Support junior coordinators during peak workloads.
  • Follow departmental procedures and escalation processes.
  • Complete administrative tasks, data entry, and reporting.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Carrier sourcing and dispatching experience is required.
  • Two to four years of transportation or logistics coordination experience is preferred, particularly in a 3PL environment.
  • Truckmate, Transportation Management System, and Microsoft Excel proficiency is an asset.
  • End-to-end brokerage expertise for cross-border freight between the United States and Mexico is required.
  • English and Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work on Canadian statutory holidays is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
