Position purpose
Support logistics, warehouse, maintenance, and operational activities through procurement of consumables, engineering spares, tools, and operational supplies.
Ensure timely material availability, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, equipment reliability, and production continuity.
Procurement and sourcing
- Source consumables, engineering spares, maintenance materials, tools, PPE, warehouse supplies, and operational equipment.
- Obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations, support supplier selection, and manage purchase orders.
- Ensure materials meet specifications, quality standards, delivery requirements, and approval procedures.
Supplier and operational support
- Build relationships with local and international suppliers and monitor quality, delivery, pricing, responsiveness, and service.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and service improvements while evaluating new suppliers.
- Coordinate material requirements with logistics, warehouse, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
- Support urgent procurement during breakdowns and emergencies and maintain availability of critical materials.
Inventory, systems, and improvement
- Monitor stock levels, consumption, replenishment needs, purchasing costs, and opportunities for inventory optimization.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier information, purchase orders, ERP updates, reports, and audit documentation.
- Support procurement procedures, standardization, process improvements, supplier performance, and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Three to five years of procurement, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain experience.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, or logistics environments is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, supplier management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
