Role Overview
Analyze global logistics financial and operational data, freight lanes, transit efficiency, transportation costs, capacity, and delivery performance.
Work as part of the Global Supply Chain team to improve transportation profitability, efficiency, and cost visibility.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform lane analysis for freight movement by transportation mode and support lane-level profitability action plans.
- Extract data from freight audit, transportation management, and global trade management service providers.
- Support recurring and spot-rate negotiations to achieve competitive transportation rates.
- Monitor quoted rates versus actual costs and maintain pricing formulas and rate tables.
- Analyze accessorial charges such as waiting time, storage, packing, and extra fuel, then recommend cost controls.
- Monitor lane capacity and transit times and report negative trends to supply chain teams.
- Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, customs, and trade compliance departments globally.
- Design and maintain logistics cost and delivery reporting for ongoing visibility.
- Support transportation rate and billing requirements and resolve invoicing issues with the accounts department.
- Create and implement carrier KPI processes and manage carrier, service, budget, and financial KPIs.
- Manage outbound costs and quotations and support RFQs, budgets, and forecasting.
