Role overview
State Street's GenAI Center of Excellence is seeking an LLM Data Scientist, Senior Associate.
The role is intended for early-career professionals advancing large language model capabilities through experimentation and applied research.
The employee will work with senior data scientists to develop, fine-tune, and evaluate AI models.
Key responsibilities
- Design experiments and fine-tuning workflows such as LoRA and QLoRA using Python and machine learning frameworks.
- Support LLM benchmarking, evaluation, performance analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Assist with data curation, preprocessing, and preparation for model training and evaluation.
- Document experiment results, insights, and methodologies and maintain knowledge repositories.
- Participate in model reviews and apply current generative-model evaluation methods.
- Track advances in generative models and contribute ideas to frontier model research.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Zero to seven years of overall IT experience and at least three years of applied ML or data science experience, including internships or academic research.
