We are hiring an experienced Print Litho Production Specialist for our Chicago, IL manufacturing facility.
Job Summary
The Print Production Specialist is responsible for coordinating all lithographic and prepress activities related to envelope manufacturing. This role serves as the primary liaison between sales, customer service, graphics, purchasing, and production to ensure printed envelope products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Coordinate lithographic printing activities for custom envelope orders.
- Review customer artwork, proofs, and specifications for production readiness.
- Manage prepress processes, including plate preparation and artwork revisions.
- Schedule print jobs to support production deadlines and customer delivery requirements.
- Communicate job requirements and priorities to press operators and production teams.
- Monitor inventory levels of printing plates, inks, and related supplies.
- Work with vendors to obtain printing plates, artwork services, and specialty materials.
- Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and company standards.
- Investigate and resolve printing, artwork, or production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records, job files, and reporting metrics.
- Assist with estimating and costing information related to print production.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to printing efficiency/waste reduction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Pay & Work Schedule
- Annual Salary - $85,000- $90,000
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; Saturdays as business dictate.
- Flexibility is required based on the needs of the operation.
- For information purposes, production shifts are as follows:
- 1st: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2nd: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 3rd: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Job Requirements
- Associate's / Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience considered.
- 3+ years of lithographic, offset printing, prepress, or envelope manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of envelope converting and printing processes.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, PDF workflow, and prepress systems.
- Strong understanding of color management and print quality standards.
- Proficiency with ERP, production scheduling, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office and ERP systems experience preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) and move throughout the work area, including walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
- Must wear required PPE, including hearing protection and safety shoes.
- Regular exposure to production equipment, noise, and materials such as inks and adhesives.
