Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Linux Systems Engineer joining our team to support our Intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or St.
Louis, MO.
This position supports the Geospatial Services & Solutions business area to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions to the customer.
As part of the GSS Team, the Linux Systems Engineer expertise is needed to support a sophisticated enterprise environment.
They are an active participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings.
The systems engineer will be responsible for supporting the customer’s enterprise environment.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux-based infrastructure in both on-prem and virtualized environments
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), including AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element, to support enterprise Linux workloads
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, networking, and cluster resources within Nutanix environments
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and scripting languages (e.g. Bash and Python)
- Standardize system configuration, patching, and deployment processes through Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Administer and support Red Hat ecosystem tools, including Satellite and Capsule
- Integrate and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g. OAuth, SSO, identity providers)
- Support the development of dashboards and observability solutions using tools such as Grafana and Zabbix
