Role Overview
The Linux System Administrator manages enterprise Linux systems and related infrastructure services.
The role requires shift work and is performed in person.
Linux Administration
- Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
- Knowledge of system installation, configuration, and management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for performance problems and hardware failures.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, and LDAP services.
Automation and Platforms
- Ability to create and manage shell scripts and Ansible for task automation.
- Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift containerization and orchestration.
Security and Infrastructure
- Understanding of firewalls, encryption, and access control.
- Experience managing storage solutions such as LVM and RAID.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ability to perform systems tasks and close VA/CR findings.
