Line of Communication
The Line Server should report directly to the Assistant Food Service Director, Executive Chef or Shift Supervisor, and if these persons are not present, then report directly to the Food Service Director. Communication should not be directed to Gourmet Services, Inc. Corporate Office or any of Gourmet Services, Inc. clients.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the strict adherence to any and all line set up diagrams, portion sizes and designated serving utensils.
- Ensure all the serving areas are garnished properly, stainless steel is polished and all glass is cleaned in and around the serving area.
- Ensure the kitchen floor and serving area are free from grease and debris at all times.
- Be in proper uniform at all times.
- Be polite and courteous to all patrons of the dining facility and provide beverage service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
- This position may require bending, stooping, lifting, continuous standing or walking.
