• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Having positive and effective communication skills with residents and culinary team. Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illness. Understanding of basic and advanced cooking techniques and principles. Knowledge of how to prepare a wide range of dishes, including the modification of textures and consistencies for residents with special needs (e.g., pureed diets). Proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, baking, sauteing, and roasting. Ability to follow recipes and adjust them as needed to meet the dietary requirements of residents.
