The role
The Lighting Supervisor manages a team of artists on large-scale projects to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery.
Serving as a primary point of contact, this role involves close collaboration with local VFX/CG Supervisors and Production, as well as global HODs and cross-site leads.
Tasked with upholding studio workflows, the Lighting Supervisor fosters an efficient, unified environment for the team.
This role requires proactive engagement with global HODs to address emerging issues, utilizing a combination of personal technical expertise and delegated authority.
Other responsibilities include:
• Lead the lighting and lookdev team to deliver world-class visuals that meet the clients vision.
• Work closely with production and supervision to ensure deliveries are met and the team are utilised effectively.
• Collaborate with global HODs for lighting and lookdev to discuss regular updates on technical advancements and workflow practice. Proactively pushing the creative and technical level of the lighting department output.
• Meet with and communicate regularly with leads and supervisors in other locations to stay up to date with global show deliveries and dependencies.
• Collaborate with other departments early in the process to plan requirements and develop smooth workflow methodologies.
• Mentor and support the lighting artists, helping them manage their work and grow their technical skills, leading by example.

A background in developing proprietary tools or scripting for lighting pipelines.
