BLINK Lighting is seeking a Lighting Designer for a full-time remote role. The designer will develop creative lighting concepts for architectural, commercial, and residential projects, prepare layouts, select fixtures, and collaborate with clients and design teams.

- Develop creative and functional lighting concepts for various project types, including architectural, commercial, and residential spaces
- Prepare lighting layouts, select fixtures, specify control systems, and produce detailed design documentation and presentations
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, architects, and interior designers to refine concepts and ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines
- Review technical submittals and support site coordination when required
- Stay current with new products, standards, and technologies to continually enhance design quality
Requirements
- Strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting for commercial, residential, and specialty environments
- Proficiency in Lighting and Lighting Control systems, including fixture selection, control strategies, and energy efficient solutions
- Experience collaborating with Interior Design and architecture teams
- Ability to use design and documentation software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
- Solid understanding of lighting standards, codes, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts clearly
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a remote, cross functional environment
- Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience in a lighting design consultancy or similar role in the built environment sector is highly beneficial

Role Description
- This is a full time remote role for a Lighting Designer at BLINK Lighting.
- The Lighting Designer will be responsible for developing creative and functional lighting concepts for various project types, including architectural, commercial, and residential spaces.
- Day to day tasks include preparing lighting layouts, selecting fixtures, specifying control systems, and producing detailed design documentation and presentations.
- The role involves collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, architects, and interior designers to refine concepts and ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
- The Lighting Designer will also review technical submittals, support site coordination when required, and stay current with new products, standards, and technologies to continually enhance design quality.
