About the Role

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position within a five star hotel
- Diploma or degree in hotel management
- Bartender Certificate
- Thorough beverage knowledge
- Sales ability to suggest and upsell
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Basic computer skills

Specific Duties
- Punch in as scheduled, ready to work and according to Grooming Standards.
- Check for captain for required set up and type of service assignment.
- Have bar set up 'ready to go' 15 minutes before operation is scheduled to start.
- Perform cashier duties, if required.
- Prepare and serve drinks as per Marriott standards using a jigger at all times.
- Never leave your bar during a function unless properly relieved.
- Maintain bar area in a clean and organized condition; practice 'clean as you go'.
- After function, breakdown and thoroughly clean the bar.
- Ensure proper storage of liquor, fruit and equipment.
- Comply with all local laws and regulations.
- Report issues or requirements to supervisors.
- When requested, be ready to work as a waiter/waitress as well.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 year experience of a similar position within a five star hotel.
- Thorough beverage knowledge.
- Sales Person – Ability to suggest and upsell.
- Friendly and outgoing.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Diploma or degree in hotel management.
- Bartender Certificate.
