Lifeguard

Hatta Outdoor is preparing for Season 9 starting October 2024.

We are looking to employ qualified Lifeguards, who will ensure the users of adventurous activities such as Drop In and Swimming, are safe and enjoy their experience.

The physically demanding role involves working outside and (possibly) at heights.

Reporting to Senior Instructors and assisted by colleagues the Lifeguard will share responsibility for the smooth running and delivery of Hatta Outdoor’s operations.

• Follow clear operating procedures.
• Supervise swimmers and users of Drop In.
• Spot hazards and prevent accidents.
• Giving advice on water safety
• Control unruly behaviour.
• Water rescue. First aid including CPR.
• Make sure that all equipment and facilities are safe.
• Explain safety procedures and correctly fit equipment.
• Look after and check equipment including cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Monitor weather conditions and advise accordingly.
• Assess hazards and manage risks.
• Record accidents/incidents and complete incident reports.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
• Deal with accidents and help people.
• Motivate and encourage users.
• Other relevant duties the organization might require.

• UAE Lifeguard Certificate.
• Own visa staff are welcome.
• Experience of working in the outdoor activity sector is preferable but not essential.
• A great communicator who loves working with people. Physically fit and strong. First Aid certification (desirable).
• Reliable, flexible, and hardworking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Personable, outgoing and a team player.
• Confident, friendly, polite and a professional manner.

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
