Responsibilities
- Monitor swimmers and the surrounding environment continuously.
- Identify and mitigate hazards to prevent accidents and protect guests.
- Respond to drowning incidents and other emergencies.
- Perform water rescues for individuals in distress.
- Administer first aid and CPR during emergencies.
- Check swimming areas and equipment before opening and after closing.
- Provide assistance and customer service to guests and swimmers.
Qualifications and Training
- Basic English reading and speaking ability is required.
- Beach lifeguards must swim 200 meters nonstop in open water and recover a 4 kg weight from 5 meters depth.
- Pool lifeguards must swim 100 meters nonstop in deep water and recover a 4 kg weight from at least 1.5 meters depth.
- Candidates must be able to tread water for the duration specified by their qualification.
- A recognized lifeguard certification approved by the Dubai Regulators for Lifeguarding is required.
- A First Aid certificate approved by DCAS is required.
- Candidates must be in good physical condition.
Pay
- Pay is AED 1,500 to AED 1,800 per month.
