Responsibilities
- Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of help
- Monitor the swimming area for dangerous situations, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers in distress
- Promote recreational facility rules and regulations
- Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform a supervisor/manager
- Offer assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive
- Promote a cheerful and comfortable environment for guests
- Take, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures
- Wash, scrub, and clean the pool area
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; receive safety training and obtain certifications
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Related work experience: None required
- Supervisory experience: None required
- License or certification: CPR certification, First aid certification, Physical fitness training equipment, Any certification or training required by local and state agencies
