Position Summary
- Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance.
- Observe swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
- Promote rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Obtain, fold, and stack towels; wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- License or Certification: CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Fitness Equipment
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests; ensure professional appearance.
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
- Speak with clear professional language; support co workers.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Move at speed required to respond to work situations (run, walk, jog).
- Stand, sit, or walk for entire shift; lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and 75 lbs with assistance.
- Grasp, turn, manipulate objects; move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces; climb ladders/stairs.
