Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team at Marbletown Animal Hospital.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is confident in surgery, anesthesia, and emergency/urgent care triage.

We are also open to training a motivated candidate with a strong foundation, a passion for learning, and a desire for professional growth.

Perform emergency and urgent care triage Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and soft tissue procedures Support emergency and routine surgical procedures Perform dental procedures, including dental radiographs, scaling, and polishing Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, and perform in-house diagnostics Provide high-quality patient care, restraint, and nursing support Maintain accurate medical records using proper veterinary terminology Support, train, and mentor veterinary assistants and fellow technicians Collaborate closely with doctors and hospital leadership Qualifications: Current New York Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required Experience in anesthesia and surgery preferred Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency/urgent care environment Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality medicine Work Hours: Full-time position Must be available for one Saturday per month Hospital hours: Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Wednesday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Compensation & Benefits: $23–$30/hour based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employee discount for staff pets Continuing education opportunities
