Licensed Practical Nurse- Float Pool

Beloit Health System is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Beloit Memorial Hospital in our Inpatient Float Pool.

• Shift: 1st or 3rd
• Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Hours per week: 24-30 hours per week

Beloit Health System is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Inpatient Float Pool at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

This role provides the opportunity to work across multiple inpatient care areas, supporting a variety of patient populations while gaining broad clinical experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Float Pool LPN delivers safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients across the lifespan.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to the nursing process by assisting with patient assessments, implementing care plans, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.

Success in this role requires adaptability, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to transition effectively between different care settings.

• Makes effective contributions to RN initiated ongoing assessments.
• Organizes assessment data so they are accurate, complete and accessible.
• Follows nursing care plans and observes established policies and procedures to assure proper treatment and care of patients; initiates and records patient treatments in an accurate and precise manner; documents nursing actions taken and their effectiveness in nurse's notes or flow sheets.
• Recognizes significant behavioral and physiological changes and documents them and informs the registered nurse of significant patient care changes.
• Ensures patient safety while handling, transporting and providing medications to patients; protects patients from various hazards, falls, disease exposure, etc.
