Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and lodge customs declarations and manage tariff classifications.
- Ensure accurate duty and tax assessments under Australian and international regulations.
- Review import and export documentation and liaise with customs and regulatory authorities.
- Resolve clearance issues and coordinate shipments with freight forwarding and operations teams.
- Monitor compliance risks and provide customs-related advice to clients.
- Maintain regulatory knowledge and contribute to customs compliance and service quality improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong customs brokerage expertise, including tariff classification, duty assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in import processes, documentation, Australian border and quarantine requirements, and export procedures.
- Understanding of international trade practices, trade agreements, and global customs regulations.
- Current customs broker license or equivalent accreditation as required in Australia.
- Experience with customs and freight management systems and accurate documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Sydney, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Problem-solving, communication, customer service, and collaboration skills are required.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, international trade, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
