Responsibilities
- Oversee the process of legal operations i.e. opening cases, following up ongoing cases, and report finalized cases
- Prepare case memos depending on the claim or defense required for any given matter
- Keep track of all legal notices received for any court or proceeding hearings
- Attend the hearings and representing the Group in all ongoing cases and proceedings (amicable hearings, litigation, and arbitration)
- Lead the litigation process until a final judgement is issued and collection (if applicable) is completed
- Ensure that all the files of all cases and all related documents are archived properly
- Evaluate the existing law firms (lawyer) and identify new law firms (lawyers) as and when required
- Ensure to maintain an effective communication channels with law firms (lawyers) and government offices
- Present a report to management regarding all finalized, ongoing, and upcoming legal cases
- Review corporate agreements and contracts with external parties as and when required to ensure their legal compliance
- Draft, negotiate and advise on transactional documents and contractual agreements
- Support Group HR in conducting investigations with employees in a professional manner

Contract Review and Legal Advisory
- Draft, negotiate and advise on transactional documents and contractual agreements
- Handle legal negotiations and resolving disputes amicably
- Mitigating risks and resolving them from a legal perspective, in any given contract review, advice and handle of legal claims
- Prepare the needful Contract Review Forms, starting by having it filled by the requesting CU or BU and inserting all legal comments prior to having the contract required signed and approved by the signatories
- Ensure that the original and soft copies of all commercial related documents e.g. agreements, contracts, etc. are properly maintained
- Advise the legal team to implement any change in legal entities such as company name, company activities, shareholders distribution, ownership emendations
- Ensure that all related documents and agreements in draft mode and execution form are properly archived
Power of Attorney
- Advise the legal team on issuing and cancelling Power of Attorneys and review them as and when required
- Ensure that all issued Power of Attorneys are recorded as hard and soft copies
Investigations
- Support Group HR in conducting investigations with employees in a professional manner
- Support Group HR in making the right decision as a result of the investigations
