Role Overview
Provide dedicated 1:1 academic, social, and executive functioning support to a Grade 8 student with Down syndrome.
The student attends the School of Modern Skills in Muhaisnah 1, Dubai, and follows the American Curriculum.
Safe Transportation
- Pick up the student from home and safely drive him to school, ensuring arrival before 7:15 AM.
- Collect the student from his classroom at 2:30 PM and drive him safely back home.
- Ensure vehicle safety measures, including seatbelts and child locks, are followed.
Academic and Curriculum Support
- Break down Grade 8 English, Math, and Science concepts into actionable milestones using US Next Generation Standards and relevant state standards.
- Adapt classroom materials, graphic organizers, and digital tools under the guidance of the school inclusion team.
- Track IEP progress and implement accommodations such as extended time and simplified text each day.
Executive Functioning and Transitions
- Guide the student through classroom rotations, book and locker management, and technology-device transitions.
