Job Purpose
The Learning Support Assistant - ELL will support students and staff in the Early Years and Primary phases.
The role supports teachers in improving students' academic and social development.
The position reports to the Class Teacher.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in planning learning activities for students.
- Prepare classroom materials, equipment and supplies under teacher direction.
- Monitor, maintain and review student progress records and provide needs-based support.
- Support teachers during field trips, group activities, sports events and other events.
- Support specific student groups during lessons so they can access learning at their own pace.
Job Specification
- At least 2 years of experience working in an international school.
- A B.Ed., B.A. in English or equivalent degree.
- Qualifications must be attested by the UAE Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai and undergo equivalisation.
- Fluent English and availability to work from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to staff and student privacy.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
