Learning Support Assistant role providing academic, social, and classroom support to students.
The position supports individual and group learning, including students with special needs, recognized disabilities, and gifted and talented students.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Initiative and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and deliver efficient results.
- Good communication skills with excellent command of English.
Responsibilities
- Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce assignments and learning concepts.
- Teach social skills and provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
- Supervise students across classrooms, school facilities, and field trips.
- Observe student performance and record data to assess progress.
- Enforce student policies and rules.
- Present subject matter under teacher direction using lectures, discussions, or supervised role-playing.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials.
- Coordinate instructional efforts with classroom teachers.
