We now have a great opportunity for a Learning Business Partner on a 6 month secondment to join us at our York office and work closely with our Regional Underwriting teams in York and Bristol here at NFU Mutual. Reporting to the Senior Learning Business Partner & in a team 5, the main purpose of the role is to work at departmental level to partner with Senior Business Managers & Leaders to provide a single point of access for the full range of Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) services, and ensure the services provided meet the requirements of the internal customer. The intention is to also have a direct report (a Trainer) later on down the line. Some key accountabilities will include:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with business managers, HRBPs & CoEs to define departmental People Plans and ensure the effective planning & implementation of L&OD services to meet business needs
Provide a L&OD consultancy service to business managers & lead/oversee the provision & design of L&OD services to ensure People Plans and business objectives are met
To act as the central point of contact for L&OD services to ensure departmental senior managers and HRBPs understand & have clear routes of access to the L&OD specialisms and that a consistent, high quality service is provided
To work in partnership with L&OD colleagues to analyse, plan, design, evaluate & lead/oversee the delivery of high quality, cost effective and fit for purpose L&OD solutions to the business to enable business objectives to be realised
To ensure the business has sufficient understanding of and compliance with L&OD policies and standards whilst working to ensure that all L&OD activity is compliant with regulation and legislation
Contribute to the continual review of L&OD learning mechanisms and courses, seeking participant and stakeholder evaluation to ensure they are fit for purpose and constantly improved

As a Learning Business Partner, you will deliver a business-focused L&OD service to support business projects and designated clients, ensuring that effective L&OD plans, solutions and activities are in place to meet identified L&OD needs that enable the business to deliver both their people and business objectives. You will have strong communication skills - being able to build relationships at all levels and be effective. You will be or have:
Able to build strong credible working relationships that enable you to effectively influence, challenge, deliver and build trust - building relationships with senior managers and stakeholder management
Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional qualification, (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or above)
Ideally working towards an Organisational Development (OD) qualification or equivalent experience and understanding of OD
Ideally with a Coaching qualification or equivalent coaching experience
Experience of working in the Insurance industry/environment (with experience of underwriting, as well as having partnered)
Management/ leadership experience
Experience in Learning and Development/OD and designing, delivering and evaluating effective learning and OD solutions.
Experience of working in a partnering role, ideally within a L&OD business partnering function
Solution focused, pragmatic, agile and commercially minded
This is a Level 4 role which includes an annual bonus of up to 17.5% and 25 days holiday.
