Job Purpose
Design and deliver high-quality, intuitive, and visually engaging front-end interfaces and visual artifacts for airline application software.
Deliver user-focused design solutions that address client requirements and business needs while improving usability, functionality, navigation, and user experience.
Design Responsibilities
- Understand, model, prototype, design, and iterate visual aspects of new and existing complex airline application software.
- Apply end-user feedback, ISA standards, recommended methodologies, and design tools.
- Work with technical staff and clients to understand software problems and resolve them.
- Provide design feedback to junior team members and coordinate workload with the team lead in agile environments.
Collaboration and Delivery
- Resolve customer complaints related to design and suggest improvements.
- Participate with the development team in demonstrating software to stakeholders.
- Provide status updates for assigned tasks and escalate issues as necessary.
- Educate team members in design techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Keep current with technologies supporting ISA development purposes.
People Management
- Provide direction, coaching, and guidance to team members for career and professional development.
- Create a conducive environment that supports an engaged and performance-driven team.
- Handle people management responsibilities according to company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in design, computer science, or a related field.
- Fluency in English.
- At least 6-8 years of experience as a User Experience Designer using current methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to understand clients and their business models.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and handle multiple projects.
Design Skills and Tools
- Knowledge of design systems, user research, usability testing, interaction design, design methodologies, techniques, and design tools.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, UXPin, and InVision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
