• We have an opportunity for a Lead Theatre Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Theatre department.
• This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern including rostered weekends and on-call

Duties of this role include

• Lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the perioperative pathway, acting as a specialist or functional lead within the team.
• Ensure that all patient safety checks, including WHO surgical safety processes, are carried out in accordance with hospital policy.
• Maintain clinical credibility by demonstrating best practice, supporting others, and taking the lead in complex or high-risk situations.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for theatre practitioners and support staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, compassion, and accountability.
• Support the development and assessment of competencies within the team, promoting continuous professional development.
• Actively mentor and coach junior staff, including students and newly qualified team members.
