Own the Installation: Install, terminate, label, and test all types of structured cable—twisted pair, coax, CAT-5/6, tray cable, and fiber (single-mode and multi-mode).
Train and Mentor: Coach technicians on safety practices, quality standards, and installation methods. Ensure all work aligns with the Scope of Work (SoW), on time and efficiently.
Drive Safety & Compliance: Apply and enforce safety policies (Instrata/customer standards) and escalate high-risk activities.
Use the Tools: Confidently manage Instrata deliverables including: Order Package, Scope of Work (SoW), Schedule, Budget, and Dependencies, SNAPSHOT and Network Diagrams, QA checklists, Punch Lists, and Closing Documentation
Collaborate and Communicate: Maintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and other Lead Techs. Share updates, concerns, and improvement opportunities.
Adapt in the Field: Identify and assess changes to scope, schedule, or resources in real time—and escalate when necessary.
Support RFC/FCO Processes: Assist with scope changes using formal request processes as needed.
Customer Satisfaction: Engage with clients to ensure expectations are met and identify opportunities to improve service and delivery.
Support Field Performance: Provide feedback on field team development and work alongside project leaders to optimize execution.
2–5 years of hands-on experience installing telecom cabling, TCP/IP networks, CCTV, wireless, and access control systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with power tools and hand tools
Solid understanding of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and National Electrical Code
Ability to install, terminate, and test low-voltage and fiber optic cables
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Experience working with installation planning tools and client-facing reporting
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
Additional industry certifications a plus (BICSI, OSHA, manufacturer-specific, etc.)
