Position Purpose
The incumbent designs and implements solutions supporting the University's business objectives.
The role covers systems analysis, system development planning, technical design, implementation, testing, and application support.
The systems include large-scale, mission-critical, university-wide applications and supporting technologies.
The incumbent works with minimal supervision as a specialist in complex technologies.
Planning, Design and Deployment
- Direct development teams on application design for mission-critical systems.
- Design and develop solutions and production enhancements using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Plan, estimate, prioritize, and assign work to technical resources with the IT Manager.
- Provide advice on development methods, design alternatives, and technical options.
Support and Development Lifecycle
- Review solution options and existing delivered functionality before recommending customization.
- Analyze complex requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, evaluate system impacts, and design architectures.
